We were very happy to hear that Franco and Monica took over this location to open their new restaurant, Mamma Mia. They still own Ice Cafe Venezia, which is open for Italian gelato. Mamma Mia is located on Palma Real, across the corner from Hemingway's Cantina.

The new restaurant has a great atmosphere, attentive service, very fair prices - but the food is the star here. We had pasta, soup, and the mixed grilled meat platter. Everything was carefully prepared, the shrimp were huge, the meat platter had everything from rib-eye, to pork ribs, to hand made Italian chorizo sausage.

Happy hour is 4-7pm for certain drinks, they have draught beer, and the wine selection is very nice. They are open from 2pm-midnight every day except Tuesday.

Monica and Franco are friendly, hardworking and proud of their food - and we hope they do very well with the new restaurant. You'll find us there at least once a week in the winter months!
